The Commission’s Mandate as contained in the Act can be summarized as follows:

• License and Regulate ICT Service Providers in Sierra Leone
• Plan, Manage and Assign the national Frequency Spectrum
• Manage the National Numbering Plan
• Ensure fair competition and investment in the sector
• Protect the users or consumers of ICT products and services
• Promote the progressive development of ICTs in Sierra Leone
• Support Universal Access to ICT services
• Promote Cyber Security and Resilient Cyber Space
• Enforce SIM/UIM Card Registration Regulations
